George Clooney’s sister-in-law Tala Alamuddin Le Tallec was detained in Singapore for drunk driving and is about to serve a jail term for a good span of three weeks. According to the Straits Times in Singapore, reports foxnews.com, on Monday, George Clooney’s sister-in-law, the older sister of human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, was proven guilty under the charges of drunk driving and driving without insurance. The sister-in-law of the actor, Le Tallec is a fashion designer by profession and is set to serve a jail term of three weeks for the offenses she is charged under. The report in the Straits Times stated that the arrest took place at police held roadblock at 2: 30 AM in Singapore. According to the report in the paper, Le Tallec had trouble finding the handbrake of her car and searched for her driver’s license instantly, while she was stopped by the police. When the police tested her, Le Tallec had 95 micrograms (mcg) of alcohol in 100 milliliters of breath, triple the alcohol limit permitted while driving in Singapore. Earlier than this, the fashion designer has also a long history of driving offenses which include drunk driving, careless driving, and inconsiderate driving and much more. Tala Alamuddin Le Tallec has received a $6.400 fine upon finding guilty and also has her license canceled for a span of four years. While her lawyer Shashi Nathan spoke on behalf of her how she was ‘genuinely remorseful ‘ and is very aware that she has committed a terrible mistake.


The fashion designer currently owns the fashion line, Totally Tala and has an established business.
